• Effect of Adaptive Cruise Control on Traffic Flow
Summary and discussion of three papers in the area

Summary
This presentation consists of a breakdown and discussion of three papers to understand the effect of adaptive cruise control (ACC) on traffic flow through driver behavior modelling. Parameters such as time gap are typically varied across models. The models are compared on the basis of their stability and safety. It is observed that ACC can help reduce traffic congestion and increase safety.
This study was carried out as a part of the course CE6840 at IIT Madras, taught by Prof. Bhargava.
